In Scripture we see Characteristic that are quantifiably measurable. We see Fullness of Joy, Great Faith as contrasted to little faith. Increasing our capacity is about becoming one that is Full of the life and power of God and expressed in its various characteristics.
Pastor Roger draws from the experience of Gideon to see his potential capacity and how it came about at the Word of the Lord and Gideons obedience. He saw himself as the weakest, but the Lord saw him as a valiant warrior!
The Lord will lead us to experiences that will impact us to have greater capacity for serving him and the people around us.
“Though we may face struggles, doubts, and seasons where God seems absent, His Word assures us that He is always with us.”
Struggles require us to walk in God’s grace, exercise our faith, grow stronger, and persevere, for while it may be tempting to avoid them, the struggles we evade today will only return tomorrow, yet wisdom can be found in those who have gone before us.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12 – I do not want you to be misinformed regarding the special abilities given by the Spirit of God. If we are Conformed, Transformed, and Informed, we will be able to put those special abilities to use to serve the Lord and others.
UBU – You-be-You Transformed reveals that real change comes about with changing the way we think, or renewing of our minds to think the way that God thinks. God’s thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours. So we are challenged by the Word of God (his thoughts and ways) and given the opportunity to think and act according to his word.
UBU (You Be You) is a series where we find out the Lord created us with unique design and yet added to the UBU is the going beyond you to be conformed to the image of Christ.
